the last week in the west should be pretty interesting

no position is 100% set, but for the most part these are

Suns and Jazz at 1 and 2. Jazz magic number is now 3. Jazz have two medium games and two cakewalks while the suns have 4 medium games. last nights loss now gives the jazz a 95% chance at holding onto the #1 seed(doesn't factor jazz injuries or end of season malaise.

Clippers at #3-super soft schedule. should be an easy 4-0/3-1 week, but if they do lose more then that their floor is #4. 70% odds for the clippers
Nuggets at #4-just have to win one or to garuntee the #4 spot have the tiebreaker over the clippers so if they can go 4-0 while the clippers go 3-1 they could get the #3 seed. overall not sure either team cares that much about where they end up with these two spots. 74% odds for the nuggets

#5 so this is where things can get tough cause while you would think that things would heavily favor the mavs, but how hard are some teams going to be trying this week when their worst outcome is the #4 seed. 83% odds for the mavs

#6. so on the blazers, while their schedule is brutal its possible that the nuggets don't try at all on their last game, its possible that the suns aren't trying in their game. that could mean a very easy 3-1 or if those two teams and the jazz are trying 100% this could be a 1-3 week. 61% odds for the blazers

#7 will be either the lakers or blazers(or still a small chance the mavs). blazers effectively have a 2 game lead right now, but the lakers have a really easy schedule. so its on the blazers to just go 3-1 and lock up the sixth seed. 73% odds for #7

#8 going to either be the warriors or the grizzlies. should be noted how important this game is. if your the 8th seed your chances of getting in the playoffs are well over 50%(close to 75% if all games are 50/50) and 25% if your the 9 seed. warriors have a 58% chance at #8, grizzlies have a 41% chance at 8 which means that the odds have all but locked the spurs into #9 at 82% odds.

based on projection systems this is the most likely scenario right now

    1. Jazz vs 8. Warriors
    2. Suns vs 7. Lakers
    3. Clippers vs 6. Trail Blazers
    4. Nuggets vs 5. Mavericks

obviously the play in makes this completely impossible to predict, but

and the warriors have made a ton of BS shots in this game. man the Jazz are going to be in serious trouble in the first round. they are going to be trying at best to incorporate two guys who have missed a ton of time in playoff games if they are even available at all.

Also, I am so sick of Oni getting time. he isn't an elite defender, can't shoot, and has zero ball skills. why he gets time over brantley just blows my mind.

    Clarkson's 41 was a nice silver lining.

Blazers dropped 50 in the first quarter on 12/16 from 3. Our lineup with Dame, CJ, Powell, RoCo, and Nurk has actually been good defensively too.

And they were still only up by 5 in the middle of the 4th. Rockets made in competitive but I doubt anyone thought the outcome was ever in doubt.

Blazers had a double digit lead pretty much all game. Rockets got within 5 when Dame and the starters rested, when they came back in it quickly ballooned back to 15. Rockets played tough. They just need talent.

Powell and McCollum were both in at least but I think when the Blazers saw the 5 point deferential, they stepped on the gas.

Really digging some of the young guys and hope this time can really get them some rub. The Rockets will be back as long as Fertitta just signs checks and stays away. Not very likely, though.

Clarkson had a game way over his normal level of play. Only reason it was close.

What do you think of Olynyk? I've been blown away by how good he's been for you guys.
