GT#66 Más Incorrupto Knicks (37-28) @ Denver Nuggets (43-22): NBA Finals Preview

The Knicks are playing their best basketball at the right time but they face their strongest test yet. Last season, the Denver Nuggets were derailed by Lebron & AD's Herculean efforts in the WCF but this season, they have a very good chance of making their 1st appearance in the NBA Finals. Over the next three seasons, I can see the Nuggets and Knicks clashing in the Finals.

    Random Thoughts:

    1. Hotter than Crypto-Currency: While the Knicks have been grabbin' ***** & kickin' names in the East, the wild wild West has had some recent developments. After Jamal Murray was done for the season on April 13th, the Denver Nuggets (9-2) have been arguably the hottest team in the West. Statistically they're one of the most consistent teams in the NBA, top 5 in just about every major category offensively and defensively.

    2. The Killing Joke: Nikola Jokic 26.3/10.9/8.5 can't be ignored. Much how General Julius Caesar Randle is the engine that drives the Knicks; Jokic is the heart and soul of this team. Give this guy too much respect, he'll kill you scoring, passing, etc.

    3. Jurassic Park: Taj Gibson vs Paul Milsap. Winner gets a free subscription to AARP, denture cup, and 2 tickets on a Disney cruise.

    4. Michael Porter Jr vs Seth, Sandra, and Reggie Bullock: Tall order but someone is going to have to slow down the young man who has proven to be able to stay healthy.

    5. War of the Roses: Derrick Rose last 10 games, 18.5 ppg, 56% FG, 86% FT, 4.7 apg...Without Jamal Murray and Jokic's achilles' heel interior D, I can see Rose erupting again.

This is going to be a fun game. An acid litmus test for da Knicks. Let's GO.

He's the only player I wanted at the time when it was our pick. The only player...

Wow I never would have thought these words would have ever came out of my mouth but I will say that if Noel plays tonight than I think we have a great chance at beating the nuggets tonight

Does anyone have any timetable for when Mitch will be returning. I thought for sure he would have been back for the playoffs or at least a few games before just to get back into rhythm we are definitely going to need all the help we can get and Mitch just adds a different dimension to the game where he is great defensively but can also be an offensive threat as well with the lobs and put backs .
Plus with his energy and 2nd and 3rd efforts that he gives he is a problem that should be on the scouting report when he plays . Guys can’t just leave him open .
Even though Noel has been playing phenomenal I think we are a better team when Mitch is on the court . Although I don’t know about that anymore since he has missed so much time now Noel has the whole chemistry thing going for him so it’s tough to say who I’d rather start I think Noel gets the start and Mitch will come off the bench when he returns. I remember him having good chemistry with IQ when the season first started. Regardless with all these injuries to our big men we definitely need Mitch to return soon .
