9 run lead on 98 pitches. He left him in just long enough. Keep his arm strength up, but donít waste pitches 100+ with a 9 run lead and 2 innings left. He woulda never made it 9

Cease gutted thru that one. I say that as his follow-thru was still pretty sporadic IMO. Very nice outing though, and of course Babe Ruth at the plate

Need to get Cease in the next series at an NL park, got to chase Yermin's 8 for 8 record to start a career or whatever it was.

Gotta start 3 for 3 if you want to take the title and go 9 for 9

Our announcers made a good point about Cease yesterday. They brought up how much he was smiling and into the game after getting hits. I concur, he always looked miserable on the mound. I think his issues are mostly mental. It sure as hell isn't his stuff, because he's been filthy. I won't get overly hyped yet though, even though the Reds offense has been murdering. I wanna see how he does against the Twins next week!

The umpire was squeezing Kopech and Hendriks! Got out of that pickle though

What a frustrating loss. Hamilton is absolutely useless at the plate.

Typical Sox split. Win by 9. Lose by 1.

We'll probably see more of those with Leury and Hamilton getting more ABs.

While they both serve a purpose, Hamilton is nothing but a 1 trick pony, and really needs to be launched. There have got to be other speedy defenders, who can at least put a ball in play.
Hamilton is just incompetent and should not be in an MLB batters box.

At the very least we have to split those 2 up in the order. Iíd rather have 1 **** hitter surrounded by good hitters in 2 different spots then have 2 b2b outs. And with a pitcher might as well have been 3 easy outs.

But I agree, BHam is a pinch runner/defensive replacement with a lead late! He is a pathetic hitter
