Beating Bieber would be so nice but he's so damn nasty.

At least our lineup is stacked

I think we have a solid lineup. I think Vaughn is starting to become something good. How long will it take to reach his ceiling? Hopefully that ceiling is a perennial All Star.

What I really liked seeing yesterday was his defense. It's not always the catch or the throw. It's also knowing who the general is and listening. There was that play in the second game of the double header where Moncada, Anderson, and Vaughn were all going for the shallow but towering fly ball. Vaughn pulled up in plenty of time listening to Anderson. Being safe is sometimes the better choice.

I think he'll be good. His obp is 385 so far and that's after starting 0-9.

It will be interesting to see what happens late this year, when Eloy comes back. If Vaughn is hitting, and Mercedez is still super human, do they tell Eloy to come back next year at 100%?

Also, what do we do about Rodon? When do we consider extending him, and what will it cost?

The guy is straight up nasty, and is finally healthy.

I don't see Eloy playing at all this year. He might be healed at the end of the season but to be healed vs baseball shape is quite a difference. I think no matter what he's a 2022 guy, not a 2021 playoff type guy.

He should sue Ricky Renteria for using him in thise 2 spots last year. Literally cost him millions being put in in such huge situations when A) he was never a reliever, and B) he was hardly healthy. Put a huge stigma on Rodon.

I'd wait til at minimum 60 percent of the season before considering extending Rodon

I'm not sure. I'd imagine they've learned their lesson that he can't be in the field anymore. If that's the case how long does it take to just get in hitting shape?

He can get back in July iirc which gives him a lot of time to get into some sort of groove.

fair point. He makes Manny look like an impact outfielder so I'm not worried about who will play there.

He's going to continue to get hurt. Either trade him or DH him imo

    Not worth the risk anymore

If he can just not be an idiot, i'll take his subpar fielding with his bat.
