If he's a stud, and they aren't then didn't the Raiders make the correct choice????

Nope. We needed to risk losing him so we could get a higher draft grade.

Just playing devils advocate, but not necessarily. Coaching and surroundings matters. A better player can go to a worse situation and look worse. I think our oline coaching probably makes our OL look better than they are. Just like our defense has made players like Ferrell look worse than they are.

Either way, itíll take a couple years to know that answer.

I get that coaching was part of the problem. Still, the difference between the run of the mill players and the great ones, is the great ones go above and beyond in their game prep. For all of the hype that some heaped on guys like Ray Lewis, there's no question he studied tape like it was scripture. Physical ability alone won't get us to the promised land.

I don't know what our players were doing last year, but it was clear they didn't study all that much. I really hope that changes this year. If Gus and his staff can help push them to push themselves, all the better.

Didn't someone say that he had a problem with his hands? If that's the case, expect more penalties as a pro. At least until he gets trained up.

Darius Stills was a 1st team all american and big 12 defensive linemen of the year.

    D. Hamilton started games at LT mainly but also LG and C

...rather, the steal of the un-draft.
