I look forward to a Packers division/championship round exit with the top OL, 2 top 5 WRs, the most efficient running game, and a top 10 TE.

Reports are now saying the Falcons want a 1st and a player or two. Do they think Julio is 24 or something? lol

It's how negotiations work, why are people always shocked. They have until middle to late August to trade him because it won't take him too long to learn a playbook.

It's the same way with us and Wentz, you hold of until you get the best offer.

Not shocked, its just idiotic. No one believes they have a first on the table or he would be gone already. To say they want a 1st and some players for a oft-injured old WR is just dumb.

You are right its the same as Wentz, fake reports saying a team offered a first.

Poor Rodgers, he has to play with a top 5 OL, a top 5 WR, top 10 RB/TE. They dont need offensive help, they need defense.

To trade away assets for a WR you dont need while ignoring the D is a dumb move.

They need to do something to free up the cap room to sign their rookies and get them into training camp so you’re exaggerating a little. Now, they could make other moves to do that but those all involve moving money to future years which they’re not going to do in their situation. So there’s a little more of a deadline on it than you’re saying IMO. But yeah, in general it’s just negotiations.

Like you said they dont have much leverage, if fans can take notice of that you can rest assured that GMs around the league know that as well. Lying on their website is not changing anything.

I feel like if there's any team that should be overpaying for Julio it's the Ravens. They're obviously a run heavy team and have provided Lamar with a great OL, but his WRs are pretty mediocre. If they want to evaluate Lamar for a big contract I feel like a trio of Julio/Watkins/Brown gives him more than enough help to show if he's the guy to pay 40M+/season.

Only took 36 snaps under center last year. Greg Roman promised he will take more this year, but we saw what happened with Kaep when he did that in San Fran.

The biggest question is if Lamar is capable enough to have it be worth investing in WRs, really.

Apparently Sammy is mentoring the young WRs already... so they're all going to be immortal lizard people soon.

well that's why trading for Julio is smart, to find out if it's worth making lamar the focus of the team.

if it turns out that he isn't, you know that now instead of risking a monster 5-6 year contract where he'll underperformed because they had to gut a lot of the team to make the signing, and then be in cap hell for the entire contract while you're a maybe borderline playoff team
