Teams always scout players though. No coach or GM in their right mind would stop scouting QBs just because they had Trubisky on the roster.

He does generally provide high quality insight at least he isn't Mully, or Mac/Jurko/Harry lol. He plays an *** on the radio but he isn't a meatball, he expects more from his listeners than that as well.

I like him because he's brighter than most radio personalities and he's a genuinely good person

Itís not so much about check downs, and more so about quick reads. Quick reads is what made Tom Brady the most winningest QB ever. He takes whatís the defense gives him, efficiently and effectively. Thereís no defense for a quick read. I never saw that aspect of Fields game. Fields is someone with the potential to create big plays, which is great, and Im truly excited about that. When we we play an elite D though, and they take long developing plays out of the game, will he be able to adjust? We will find out over the next few years

I have heard some debate on whether the offense was to blame for fields holding the ball too long. Saying that the routes are mostly deep concepts and that in cases where there were quicker reads he made them. The truth is though the #1 problem i see is recognition of the blitz. When they send 6 or 7 you have to know where the hot route is. Too often he sits there and takes a sack. Maybe the offense doesnt have a hot route in it leading to some of these problem. But in the games everyone loves to bring up it was the blitz that killed him. When he had time he was great. When they made sure he had to get rid of it quick I just saw ... Not necessarily panic. But almost a sense that he either didnt realize it... Or didn't care.

I'm a big believer in in stuff like this. Some guys have nothing but sheer willpower and make it. You're always at an advantage with a father like that to guide you.

Absolutely. That is why I believe Justin Fields is going to be something special for the Bears. He's gonna to want it.
