Eventually you will have to pick who to pay and who not to pay.

    Alonso
    Smith
    Conforto
    Nimmo
    McNeil

Cant pay all of them unless you donít mind going 100 million over.

In a perfect world Nimmo replaces Dom, who moves to DH.

Alonso moves to DH, with Dom at 1B.

Bryant would be a huge addition at 3B. If signing him means no Conforto, so be it.

If Peterson shows he can be a quality SP and Syndergaard comes back strong from injury, Stroman can go too.

They still have to pay Carrasco no matter what next year so he'll be here. I like Stroman. Its just a matter of who has the higher ceiling between him and Syndergaard. If Noah shows he's healthy, its not much of a question.

Correct me if I'm wrong. During the off-season weren't many on this board wanting to trade Nims, now, it's get rid of Scooter. What's up? Anyhow, I prefer to keep both!

Iíve never been sold on conforto. Also, keeping both is only possible if thereís a DH next year. Which Iím not sure is going to happen. Iíd also prefer we have a REAL centerfielder.

Another question came up, I just didnít want to start another thread about it. When Davis is ready does he get 3rd base back? I say no.

Realistically they would likely flip-flop DH when one "needs a rest". But I agree with Bryant.

If he comes back around the trading deadline, he might be playing for another team.
I have a gut feeling that Bryant will be had at that deadline.

I've been sold on these guys as they came up - Conforto, Nimmo, McNeil, Dom and Pete.

    Upgrade on Davis is preferable.

My goodness, keep in mind we've only played 8 games. No reason to overreact, it's only April.

I want to keep degrom, conforto, nimmo, Thor, Alonso and McNeil around for life, along with lindor who's already locked up for life. We have an owner who can afford it. Having a team of homegrown talent locked up for a decade while you constantly stock the farm was the Yankees special sauce. We have the ability to do that within our reach and have an owner who does actually think like a fan to a degree.

Got to go to the game yesterday in Denver and I'm straight up giddy. First baseball in too long and the energy on this squad is infectious. Conforto is a big part of that. Lock him up. I wouldn't feel like a hot start should earn him that much of a bump so a slow start doesn't devalue him either. He's an excellent baseball player
