After two amazing wins post deAngelo, the Rangers laid an egg against the Isles (again). Barry Trotz is just an all around better coach. He can pull Patrick Roy out of retirement and shut out the Rangers. That is VERY disturbing for Ranger fans.

Gorton is going to have to make some very difficult decisions. Buchnevich is going to be an UFA and the Rangers need a front line Center (who can win a face off).

Has anyone seen Mika? I just don't see this guy as a first line Center. He's a second line center.

This team is filled with kids and a lot of maybes...but one thing is for sure, this team needs Centers BADLY. Can't take much more Brett Howden and Ryan Strome.

Wait, you mean all of the Rangers problems didn't go away with Tony deAngelo?

After 2 straight wins, 2 straight losses.

The Bruins loss was baffling. Panarin trying to get too cute. Then in OT Buchnevich tried a cross ice pass with two Bruins there?

    Panarin out.

Lafraniere and Kakko looked good together. Gauthier was dominant but of course Quinn didn’t give him more minutes. Like Lemieux and Rooney on the 4th line. Top 4 d-men looked good, tho’ Trouba took a bad penalty and continues to be out of positions, lucky for him Miller is so good he overs a lot of his mistakes. Hajek and Bitetto makes my anxiety go thru the roof. Really need to upgrade that 3rd pair. I wouldn’t mind trading ADA for JT Miller—would give us more physicality maybe even Howden & ADA for JT Miller & Virtanen. I would also look at Olli Maatta—LHD good speed, plays physical, good stickhandler—has played under Jacques Martin in Pittsburgh so he knows the system. Tho’ the rumor is we won’t deal for a d-man with Lundkvist and Reunanen playing well and it’s looking like the will get their opportunity soon.Reunanen is in Hartford and will likely be called up soon with Lundkvist coming over after his season is over in SHL.

This team looks a mess. They can't defend. They can't score.

Mika has never looked right post COVID.

Kreider is not earning his contract.

Trouba hurt. Add him to Panarin, Miller, and Chytil.

Some thoughts on the Hindenburg sized Crash named 2020-21 Season:

    1. Is the Top line, a true Top line? Outside of Buchnevich, is anyone else producing? RW Pavel Buchnevich (4 goals, 5 assists) 9 pts over 14 games. LW Chris Kreider (4 goals, 1 assist) 5 pts over 14 games, which tells you something that Kreider cannot create his own shot w/o a top Center. Mika Zibanejad (1 goal, 2 assists) 3 pts over 14 games. Mika will never say it but recovering from COVID takes months.

    2. No Depth at Center Gotta wonder if the injury of Filip Chytil was pivotal. Chytil had (2 goals, 1 assist) 3 pts in 5 games before upper body injury. Ryan Strome (4 goals, 2 assists) 6 pts over 14 games. Mika Zibanejad (1 goal, 2 assists) 3 pts over 14 games. That's 12 pts TOTAL from the top 3 Centers.

    3. Are the top draft picks overwhelmed: Kappo Kakko (1 goal 2 assists) 3 pts over 14 games. Alexi LaFreniere (1 goal) 1 pt over 14 games.

This is a DISASTER. Top 3 lines are in horrible shape. The Rangers' problems are beyond Tony deAngelo.

So is it that Quinn is a bad head coach ? Or is it that Gorton is a bad GM, These acquisitions were all done by him, is he a bad talent evaluator?

The Rangers resemble the Red Wings pre-Scotty Bowman. Quinn is a good dump/forecheck coach. He's not the fit with the Russian/European/Canadian hybrid.

After the Rangers lose to the dreaded Devils, a fan base that eats their young, they beat the Flyers in OT and then beat the Capitals for a second time this season.

This team is so frustrating and heart attack inducing.

Anyone read Larry Brooks article, basically trashing Zibenajad. What a dump ******, he obviously knows Zibenajad had the COVID virus and he’s been working his way back to health why continuing to play thru it. I wonder if Gorton has something to do with this article, basically trying to get the fan base to turn on Zibenajad so that when he’s dealt there won’t be a backlash.

Yeah, Larry Brooks likes to troll Ranger fans.

What he's saying, Mika Zibanejad will be 29 when he is an UFA. He'll ask $9M/season and possibly 7 yrs. Jack Eichel is 4 yrs younger and locked in at $10M/season with 3 seasons left.

Jack fits Quinn's system helluva lot more than Mika.

It's definitely interesting. Let's face it, this is a cut throat business.

With Panarin on a leave of absence, the Rangers are destined to finish towards the bottom. Hopefully Gorton actually drafts a top Center, something BADLY needed.

so I guess now the NYR are supportive of their players when they're targeted by the press for their political views?

Anyone read Friedman’s 31 thoughts on Mathew Tkachuk. Apparently his teammates have grown tired of his nightly shananigans. The worst thing that can happen is when you get into a fight and your teammates look the other way. I just wonder if he’s pissed off his teammates and management enough that they make him available in trades.

Right?!? Indicative of the Rangers Season:

Rangers: Tony DeAngelo will not play for the New York Rangers again.

Also Rangers: We stand by our teammate Panarin.

Last Friday: Rangers route Bruins 6-2

Also Rangers: Bruins pounce on Rangers 3-0. Rangers come out listless.
