They should have changed Thursday's game to like 8pm ahead of time. Might have been able to get the game in then. Noon start is a near-lock to be PPD.

We're gonna have so many make-up games. Likely playing a double header Saturday or Sunday too.

I would have let Peterson come out for the 7th. But a bit of context: we're third in the in league in ERA and WHIP, which is a reflection of how the entire staff is used. The BP has been shaky, but no shakier than most in this smallest of sample size start to the season, and the person with the highest ERA on the team, even after last night? David Peterson, at more than 6.00.

So we are 13th in bullpen era right now, and only the Braves are better so far in our division. Guess that's not so bad. I thought it was worse.

An 8pm start, which is not guaranteed with the weather, along with the potential for in-game delays, would put them on a plane to Denver sometime early Friday morning. I doubt the union allows for it, and with good reason.

Showers aren't scheduled to start until 2pm. I'd roll the dice and hope Jake can make quick work of them and be in the clubhouse before it gets ugly (the weather, and possibly the bullpen).

How Brandon Nimmo currently ranks in Major League Baseball:

    2nd - .464 AVG
    1st - .583 OBP
    9th - 1.115 OPS

He's also in the 99th percentile in chase rate and 95th percentile in sprint speed."

He certainly has the speed for center, and his glove is solid; must be all about his reads and ability to go back on balls.

The Mets are 2nd in FIP in MLB, which is a better indicator on how they are pitching.
They are 4th in K/9 and 8th in BB/9, the only team doing better in the NL are the Padres.

Granted it's a handful of games, but this is an excellent start.

You have a chance at sweeping the Phillies with your ace on the mound.

Starting pitching has been great aside from the one inning by Peterson in Philly.

The rain is now only supposed to start At 4pm. They should get the game in with the noon start. And de Grom should miss the series in Colorado thankfully as snow flurries are forecast Friday evening.

A good question is who starts on Saturday. It may have to be Gsellman.

The Phillies must be thrilled. Facing the best pitcher on the planet for a noon start the day after losing a night game. Curious to see these lineups.

Villar and Nido. Top stays the same. Interesting that Realmuto is listed as a starter for Philly.

Not too surprised, the guy is durable as hell and they're trying to avoid the sweep against Jake. A nice faint hint of desperation.
