That trade is immediately worth it now.

With that said, I don't see that core ever winning a title, without extreme luck on their side.

Jrue, Middleton, and Giannis just isn't gonna get over that hump, imo.

Jrue is 30, Middleton is about to be 30. They're both overpaid, but I understand small markets have no choice but to do that.

you knew the Bucks would have to offer him a huge contract after what they traded to get him. so Jrue had a player option for next year, is it just null and void or does this add on after that?

Seems as though it can go either way.

Since its an extension, he would have to automatically opt in I believe.

I wouldn't pay that as a GM, but the Bucks are desperate.

    This dude has us covered.

"Jrue Holidayís maximum allowable extension base amount is four years, $134.9M with a $30.1M base salary replacing his $26.8M player option for 2021-22. He can earn more through incentives since his annual base salary is well below his maximum allowable salary (35% of cap)". Per Yossi Gozlan

Exactly, milwaukee would attract no one in free agency, so they had to throw that bag at him.

Wonder what the core lineup will be next season IF the Bucks doesn't make it to ECF?

They don't have much assets after trading for Jrue so an extension was the obvious.
