Posey crushed his 8th HR, something he had not done since 2017 (opted out last yr). Between 18-19 he hit 12 HR in almost 900 PA. He has 80 this year so far.

Dude has such a great all-fields approach. Great to see him at full strength again.

Looks like a completely different guy than what we've seen the last three seasons.

The big question of the night: did Lindor and McNeill see a rat or a raccoon or enemy a possum in the Mets clubhouse?

Angels came up short in coming back from a 13-0 deficit vs. the Dodgers tonight. Final score: 14-11.

Roberts takes out Kershaw after 71 pitches and 5 shutout innings. He'll probably give the same old sabertard excuse that "the third time through the order" was coming up. For good measure, he also removed Betts, Turner, and Seager from the lineup and played all his rookies.

Anybody notice that Yasmani Grandal of the White Sox has a .388 OBP, while only having a .121 AVG?

    .122 BABIP and a 30.2% BB%. Can't remember seeing a BB% that high.

All the obvious caveats about small sample size and early season yadda, yadda...but credit where it's due, the Dodgers are sitting at 3rd in the division right now, and the Padres are just 3 games over .500 and are about to play at Coors so they could finish at .500 by the end of Wednesday's games.

There aren't too many years where the Padres and Giants battled for a division title. The only years that come into mind are 1989 and 2010.
