My daughters first game today and a great win for us. We need to keep winning and can't hope for the others to lose. We do that and hopefully we get in.

Jays are 17 - 4 in their last 21, that's an .810 winning percentage, and I agree that's probably not sustainable. If we go 9 - 5, (.640 winning %), we get to 92 wins and pretty well assures a playoff spot. Seems pretty doable.

We should offer Matz a 1 year deal like Ray's. He's been good pitcher 2nd half of season

Cole gives up 7 er in 5.2, Cleveland scores 11 against the Yankees 2 days in a row. Right now Oakland seems like a bigger threat than the Yankees. They've won 4 in a row and are up 1-0 over shoei in the 3rd.

I know the win stat for pitchers holds much less water to fans now than it did in years prior. I tend to disagree with that now that starting pitchers are only going 5 or 6 innings. I think getting the decision matters for starting pitchers as it can be a testament to them being able to stay in the game. With that being said, Jose Berrios has pitched into the 7th in his last 5 starts with a 4-1 record. He's only allowed 3 runs in 2 of those starts. Considering Ryu has been struggling as of late, the Berrios trade is looking hella fine atm.

Blue Jays win against the Twins 5-3 and now are how many games up on the Yankees now? But now Blue Jays can slip especially now that y'all are facing Tampa Bay Rays on the road in Tampa

We're 1.5 up on the yankees who just lost 2/3 to a sub .500 team. Yankees schedule is much tougher than the Jays. We get the rays for 3, Yankees for 3, Twins for 4 and Baltimore for 3. 6/13 against teams with a record over .500. The Yanks get the jays for 3, Rays for 3, Boston for 3, Texas for 3, 9/12 against teams with winning records.

Our pitching match ups for the Rays looks pretty good with Ray, Manoah and ? for this series. Rays are throwing a good looking rookie in his first major league start, an opener and Wacha in the finale. I think we'll be ok.

I believe Strip is gonna pitch in replace of Ryu. Im comfortable with our matchup against the Rays. Even if we lose the series, its not gonna be a sweep.

Happ signed for $36 mil I believe.

Its an onteresting offer thoigh. Matz was so-so for the 1st half and 1 of the best in the AL since the ASG I beleive with an ERA of around 2.50.

I don't know about that especially if the Yankees have the Texas Rangers who are a much easier match up compared to the Blue Jays who have the Rays starting tonight

Hazel Mae tweeted that with the vaccine mandates now, there's discussions of increasing attendance to 35k. That'd be great.
