Jays hitting in April was pretty bad, 793 ab's 0.233 ave., 0.705 OPS, so far in May 524 ab's, .265 ave., .766 OPS, more in line with what we should expect from this group. ERA in April was 3.42, so far in May it's 4.50. Says to me we'll have to keep out-slugging teams till we get 2 more quality starters, (maybe Hatch and Manoah), or at least one in trade?

We're on a 91 win pace, it seems hard to fathom with the amount of injuries we've experienced.

We just have to add to 40 man, which may mot be likely if tellez is only gonna be out 10 days.

    From TSN article today:

Vladdy, Semien and Bo are all on pace to hit 35-plus homers through 39 games Ö Since returning from his bout with COVID-19, Teoscar Hernandez has not missed a beat, slashing .328/.406/.557 with four homers and 16 RBI in 16 games. Heís entrenched in the cleanup spot and hasnít hit anywhere else in the lineup this season

That should be our lineup right there. Bo/semien/Vlad/teo. Springer can take semiens spot when he gets back, and seimen protects teo or teo protects seimen. Biggio should be batting 9th to stretch out the lineup. He will get a lot of walks/FB with those big guns behind him.

LGJr has become the new concern. But if he gets it going we are in the top 5 lineups in the league this season.

    I would bat Semien 5, LG 6.

I think Semien goes to the 5 hole when Springer's back, Grich to 6 and LGJ to 7. LGJ is .212/.477 in his past 15 days, but is .292/.655 in his past 7 days. Obviously a lot tougher to put up good slugging from the 7 spot. It was good to see his bat starting to warm up.

I like your idea of slipping Biggio to the 9 hole, set the table for the top of the line-up.

Biggio seems like the perfect guy for the 9-hole until he finds a little more power.

Once Springer gets back, based on current production, I would bat

    Springer
    Bo
    Vlad
    Teo
    Semien
    Girch
    Biggio
    LGJ
    Jannsen

Though I expect that to change as the season goes and by season end.

Iím a bit concerned that semien will be exposed without protection behind him, which is why I think he might be better off in the 4 spot with teo behind him.

I think biggio can be convinced that #9 isnít a huge demotion. He will still be in line for clutch ABís. Tell him we need him there for late game situations.

    Bo/springer/Vlad/seimen/teo/Grich/LGjr/catcher/Biggio.
If that catcher is a hot Kirk... omg that lineup. If Kirk is hot then I might slot him in behind teo to keep some decent speed in the back 3 spots.
Semien replaced by Martin or grosh next season and that money put towards the pitching staff...
please Atkins, letís get some top tier pitching.

    My starting lineup

    Springer CF
    Bo SS
    Vlad 1B
    Teo DH/RF
Semien(want the experience batting in the top 5)
    Grichuk RF/DH
    LGJ LF
Biggio 3B (I guess we are stuck with him at 3B)
Jansen C (he's been really good behind the plate so no need to disrupt this)

Boys laying the lumber tnite. So refreshing to watch a team that hits the all to all areas of the field instead of the classic pull teams we had after 2015.

I wonder if ESPN would ever consider us for a Sunday night game
