Former #Texans center Nick Martin is signing with the #Raiders, source said, as they work to rebuild their offensive line. After trading center Rodney Hudson, Las Vegas brings in a player who started 62 games in Houston.

Didn’t realize Martin could play deep center field as a FS...

Vic Tafur did say that its still James job to lose but Nick does have experience.

See I really like Slater but for RT. I think he can be an elite RT.

The Texans overpaid him. That's why he was released. From what I've read he holds his own in pass protection, but does not fare too well in run blocking.

So much for Gruden emphasizing the run game.....go figure.

Maybe but it seems like James is who is expected to start but with his lack of experience they wanted to bring in a vet to push him instead of drafting a rookie. If things go to their plan this guy likely doesn’t see the field. And if things go sideways while not great in the run they got someone who should keep Carr clean.

I mean the talk is they’re super high on him. Who knows if it’s spin or real. Guess we will find out.

You don't cut Rodney Hudson over some 'spin.'

Whether or not their faith in James proves delusional is up for debate.
