If LeBron beat Dirk but lost to KD the following year

Say everything about how he played and the rest of his career/the NBA unfolds the same way, would that outcome have been better/worse for his legacy ?

Pros - You dont have the stain of being responsible for losing whilst having one of the greatest letdowns from a superstar in History .
    - You were heroic in defeat against an arguably more talented team

Cons - You have one less F.MVP (Wade)
    - You lose to your main competitor at your position and the H2H in Finals would be 0-3, giving KD 3 Rings

Rings are the same but is it fair to say hes better off choking hard than seeing KD experience more success?

That choke job is often the main bullet point held against him in the MJ debate, without the choke job, does he get closer or does he only enhance KD's story?

KD was never the man in the lead while playing in Oklahoma, Westbrook dominated, during the golden state period curry was the leader.
I want to say KD has always been the best supporting player.

Choke job? Dirk became Goku in that series. He literally made LeBron's hairline recede an extra inch that year.

I'm not sure it does much to LeBron's legacy but I think it massively helps KD's, because he would now be the guy Bron couldn't beat.
