Wentz' play was so bad that Doug had no other choice than to pull him.
Pederson knows Wentz is talented; more talented than he ever was. He also knew Hurts was a rookie with less talent and not even an offseason to prepare. I really think the problem was with Wentz's input into the offense, in that the offense got worse than it was originally (2017) and he overestimated himself. Now of course one can say Pederson shouldn't have allowed that, but we've all seen what happens when Wentz doesn't get his way.

It is quaint that you STILL don't know what marketing is.

[LOCP] According to AdamSchefter , Colts offer for Carson Wentz never changed during trade negotiations. Indyís first offer was the only one they presented and Philadelphia eventually accepted.

Dan Patrick was right all along.

Reports that Wentz wanted to come back for a fresh start in Philly but ultimately team decided to split ways.

No trade demand. No blocking of destination. Civil.

    Just another day...

I donít care if Howie is the best drafter of all time, still silly to look back at who was taken in those spots. Zero to do with evaluating draft performance and 100% to do with hindsight, which again, is silly.

More like Wentz wanted to come back only if there was no competition for the starting job between him and Hurts. The guy has been butthurt since Hurts was drafted. Meanwhile Rodgers had a MVP season and the Packers did the same thing, only at a higher pick.

But if Doug allowed Wentz so much control of the offense...then why did Wentz have an issue with Doug?

Ultimately if Wentz sucks with Indy then people will say the Eagles were right and the reports about him being a bad teammate and diva are true. If he is good then people will say it was the Eagles that were the issue and Wentz is fine.
