Explain to me how a single death is a double homicide?

Even if we took your bogus take on abortion as fact, a person getting an abortion doesn't have the mens rea required for committing murder.

What about the medical portion of workmen compensation insurance would that be included or a separate risk pool like it is now. A 30k medical "allowance (claim not closed)" that rolls over a premium year raise rates about about $30,000 two years out. There are lots of workmen comp claims that don't happen at work.

If this area wasn't such a steady source of income for trial lawyers it would be a no brainer in my mind, the employer pays a higher percentage premium based on risk and eliminates all the medical portion of workmens comp.

It looks like just about every state treats fetal homicide differently (surprise surprise).

    https://www.ncsl.org/research/health...tate-laws.aspx

Essentially the law assumes that the woman will continue the pregnancy to term. It makes punishment based off something that might happen in the future not necessarily what the fetus is at the moment.

There is a lot of income that is exempt from Medicare tax, that only applies to wages /pass through earnings of sub-s and llcs.
The bulk of income currently exempt from SS and Medicare tax is going to people who wouldn't be getting social security or Medicare, various gov't employees. No matter, obviously if we were to do something like this, there would be changes.....including resolving the issue of where funds come from for those not on a group plan. Employees of group plans already pay extra to cover their dependents.

    Wow, the ign...nevermind.

Let me catch you up.... You kill a pregnant woman. In most states you are charged with a double homicide.

I will allow you the opportunity to apologize.

No one made the argument that laws differ from state to state. So stop playing with straw scarecrow.

Homicide is only for humans, not what could be, what is.

Ok but what you're doing is exactly what certain states wanted. They are making the laws for killing a fetus and calling it laws for killing a human. They are being lose with their terminology on purpose to fool people into thinking something is what it isn't.

The same way that you are being lose with your terminology when you use the term 'a human' instead of 'a life' to fool people into thinking something isn't what it is.

you keep thinking fetus is not a human being. That is clearly wrong. Fetus is just a stage in human development like toddler.

Except they don't agree with you. Science says it's life at conception.
