While pitts may end up being a guy who people regret passing on I’m both not taking him at #6 or over chase
I remember when chase played and everyone was like jefferson is great but this chase guy might be the best player in next years draft
I’d take pitts in the 8-12 range as well
I do really like smith and waddle too though
Pitts will be a good player, just from what it sounds like with him as a worker. But will he be an elite player? Idk.

Yep. I've learned my lesson from OJ Howard, Eifert, VD, Pettigrew, etc. You just don't invest a high 1st rounder in a TE. Pitts especially is gonna be disappointing just because I think his game won't translate to the NFL unless he develops well. He's dominating college defenses, but he'll have to do more than physically dominate to have that same impact at the next level. NFL LBs and safeties are bigger and faster.
I won't be mad if we draft him, but he definitely not a safe prospect.
The one thing he has going for him those others don’t is he’s more athletic but what people rave about him is route running
Saying he may be in the top 3 route runners in the class
So if scouts think he’s an elite route runner then he may have a shot to be what they say he can be
It’s one of those things that is like you want to be the first one to draft THAT TE. The one that is like a chase young who comes in and dominates right away. Because eventually a top 10 pick TE will work out.
Will it be pitts? Idk
I still remember in 2017 feeling a bit disappointed that we took CMC with Howard still on the board. I couldn't imagine any scenario where he wasn't going to be a top 5 TE and he's been a total bust. Obviously the Bucs haven't used him that week either, but still he hasn't impressed when given chances.
