Malik Beasley, who pointed an assault rifle at a family that stopped in front of his home in September, was convicted of a felony for threats of violence. He received a 120-day jail sentence after the season ends. His jail will likely be home:

Beasley's attorney, Steven Haney, told ESPN that Beasley will be part of a work release program and could potentially serve the sentence through home confinement. The felony charge might be reduced to a misdemeanor at the end of his probation, according to Haney.
Under a plea deal, prosecutors agreed to drop felony drug charges against Beasley.

If someone was harrassing him/his family I have no issue with the threat from his own property, but it's REALLY stupid to do it if you are not otherwise SQUEAKY clean. Oops.

I’m only guessing here, but I think it’s because it’s house arrest. Usually people who are on house arrest are permitted to work if I’m not mistaking.
