Still hoping for pitching next year.
Between Bo, Martin and Groshans we should be able to find a capable SS.

I hope for all the pitching next year

I am fine with Vlad (1B), Biggio (2B), Bichette (SS), Grosh (3B) and Martin in CF (Springer to RF to preserve him). But I dont think either Grosh or Martim are getting reps at those spots.

Well he got the save. Not sure if he's the designated closer.

The last pitch that Merriweather threw it was FAST

Merryweather was hitting his spots too. I hope they keep him as the closer to see how he handles the pressure. The back to back changeups on the outside corner to Hicks were nasty.

I was really just pointing out that we have a depth of high end players drafted that are left side infielders and that we should find a suitable SS without having to pay a guy 30+ million a year for a decade

I totally agree with this. Let Bo be the guy who earns that pay day.
If biggio keeps playing great 3b with his walk rate he could be earning huge money too.

The guys in the farm we donít know about yet, but I like our IF.

I really like that Montoyo is fielding the exact same line-up. No changes

Me too. At this point pretty much all money should be going into pitching.

Yea thats true. I suppose if we trade those prospects for controllable elite pitching and we sign a SS or 3B, that works too.

Well since the greatest GM in Blue Jays history had this to say after Merryweather was acquired I would expect nothing less than him being a TORP or closer. Unfortunately he also said similar things about Brito...

Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins -- unable to explicitly confirm Merryweather at the PTBNL due him being on the disabled list -- told reporters on a September conference call that the organization was satisfied with who they acquired.

"What I can tell you is weíre excited about the return," Atkins said. 'Itís a near-term prospect that we feel will impact our major league team in a significant way."
