Turned on Dallas and Phoenix to watch the last 10 seconds. That shot by Booker with two guys contesting to win the game was gorgeous. When Luka let go of it, I thought it had a chance, too, but it was just off. I still think that Phoenix team hasn't quite hit its stride yet, but has top 4 seed potential in the West. The Mavs are really starting to dig a hole, though. That's a six game losing streak now and five games under .500.
At this point, which team has the better shot to make the playoffs: Miami or Dallas? Not sure I'd feel good about picking either right about now.
Rockets shot 28 3s in a rout of the Thunder. Almost set a record. And to OKC’s credit, no one tried to injure a Rocket player like that ****ing goof Draymond did.
Bron got a female fan kicked out? What a *****
werent the heat suppose to be so amazing and bam was suppose to be better than joel etc?
Hey they can still get Lillard, Beal, and Giannis without giving up Bam, Herro, or any other young player.
I think many of the issues we're seeing from certain teams (Mavs, Heat, Raptors) is the on court impact of trying to star chase too far in advance. You typically don't get good players on 1 year deals, young guys play scared that they could be traded at any moment, and when things happen that it doesn't look like the star will be available (Giannis signing his extension) the top players play like they were let down.
But to me this always goes back to how I think the salary structure of the NBA is broken. And it's a rant that I can go to quite often as my issue with the NBA. Teams are forced to overpay mediocre or even below average players out of fear of losing a guy or overpay to lure a guy away because of bird rights. The NBA is gonna need to make some big changes to it's payroll structure if players want to keep pushing for this "player empowerment" movement where they can force their way to certain teams and force teams to do certain things.
This Clippers/Nets game is gonna be good.
