GT#27 Muey Santa Neuvo York Knicks (11-15) @ Washington Wizards (6-16): National Sum

Madison Square Garden has been referred to as the Mecca. While it's true, there's also a Shakespearean tragedy component: You're not a true Knicks fan until the Front Office has unceremoniously gotten rid of at least one of your favorite players. Bernard King, the Lord of Brooklyn, was my first.
After leading the league in scoring 32.9 and carrying the Knicks to the Playoffs, Bernard King hurt his knee, and six games into his season back was let go by Dave Checketts, then under orders by Dolan Sr.
Claimed by the Washington Bullets, Bernard King played some respectable seasons highlighted by 1990-91 season where he averaged 28.4 ppg at age 34.
To this day, Knick fans wonder what if Patrick Ewing was allowed to play alongside Bernard King for the rest of King's career. Bernard King is still my favorite Knick player that I've seen play live at the Garden. Just a machine.

Here we are in the nation's capital and no one can explain why the Washington Bullets (refuse to call them the Wizards, a politically correct silly moniker) are so atrociously bad this season. I can only think of the Chewbacca Defense in South Park used by Johnny Cochran to get all charges against Chef dropped.

Bradley Beal is putting on a scoring spectacle: A Bernard King-esque 32.8 ppg

Russell Westbrook is averaging 19.7 ppg, 9 rpg, and 8.9 apg.

Thomas Bryant and Robin Lopez are a nice 1-2 combo at Center.

Rookie Deni Avdija, the Hebrew Hammer, who will be a dynamic SF-SG with playmaking skills.

And yet, they're competing with the Pistons for the rights to Cade Cunningham, the Optimus Prime of Point Guards.

The Knicks have lost 2 consecutive games to the Heat. Gotta get back on track. The Wizards have packed it in...

If the Wizards offered Bradley Beal to the Knicks for THREE future First Rounders...would you take it?

We arenít good enough to call anything a trap game

And if we canít handle business against a bad team with no Beal, thatís not a good look

I think we are a more superior team than the Wizards, especially without Beal...so yes, this is a trap game.

Dont think a below .500 team can really ever consider themselves superior. But call it what you want. Westbrook can easily kill us
