These are obviously not real but you could easily see them being something these people think given what we have seen them say privately.

Republican lawmakers are making it harder for students to cast ballots where they attend school, after the GOP suffered stinging recent electoral losses largely due to a historic surge in turnout from younger voters backing Democrats.
A new law in Idaho specifically bars the use of student identification cards to vote, while a change in Ohio law means students will no longer be able to use tuition or college housing receipts as a form of voter ID.
I guess that whole "you need an ID to vote" doesn't count if you know the voter is voting democrat. Maybe there's a fascist ID that republicans are looking for....
They are basically admitting there's no way they win legitimately so they need to suppress a basic American right in order to maintain power.
Doesn't it make sense for college students to vote where they have lived rather than where they are staying for 4 years? It isn't likely that they will stay in their college communities following graduation, but they might go back home.
It makes sense for them to vote wherever they're currently living. Policy where they currently live matters, and they should have a say. It's not like they're spending their money exclusively where they have lived. They're a contributing member of their society, where they currently live.
It makes sense for them to vote where they currently live, as that is the state in which the policies affect them today.
Example: A MN girl goes to TX for school, gets pregnant, needs to follow the draconian abortion ban. She should 10000000000000000000000000000000000000% get to vote in TX, as those policies impact her.
And when they graduate, IF they move to another state, they vote in that state...

That all said, I would never let my child attend college in a deep red state. Nope. Once they are off my dime, if they wish to move to one of those states, have at it...

How about making it easier to vote instead of putting up restrictions and guidelines? This wasn't a problem until the Republicans notice how they aren't pulling the college vote within their state. It wasn't a problem for them when all those young campus Reaganites were running around back in the day.

True, that. Hopefully, by the time they reach adulthood, some of this craziness will have passed. Eventually, the voters in red states will wake up when the Republicans' policies stench get to be too much to bear. How long will they tolerate a fastly sinking educational system and healthcare rating? Using sticks to write on clay tablets in schools?

if you have ever been to the deep south, you realize many of them are oblivious to how bad their state is. To them, it's just status quo. The GOP has succeeded there, making their dependents dumb and dependent. The bible belt will always be whatever our most conservative version is...
