I think the right has some merit to their argument. I think what we should focus on is how to make these requirements easy and available for all people.

The left obviously feels like the requirements are stacked against their voters, so rather than oppose voter Id, why not actively address any tilt against their voter base?

There is no wide spread voter fraud and more people engage in "fraud" from the side of eliminating people from the rolls than do from the act of voting. Focus efforts there. We don't need to put unnecessary and burdensome regulation on people to make other people feel better.

Arizona is looking to pass a law that gives the state legislature the ability to throw out their electors anytime before inauguration.

In other words, next election if they don’t like how their state voted, they want to have the power to change it and give a big **** you to the people.

Democracy, if you vote our way.

Every single signee of the bill should be brought up for treason. That voters for the Arizona state legislature really do seem to have elected the worst of the worst out there.

These guys are getting so desperate to remain in power that they aren't even trying to be sneaky about it. Tell me again how we are going to seek unity with this party?

There are three kinds of men. The one that learns by reading. The few who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence for themselves.

Just to keep the both sides pattern going, you know the Dems suppressed Green party votes in several states right?

(to those who will accuse me based on that, I realize the GOP is doing that stuff more right now, but that hasn't always been the case and it's completely possible it could swing the other way some day)

We should have 1 system for all votes at every level. The fact that every municipality can choose to do things whatever way they want is kind of crazy in the information age.

    Is anyone supporting this?

Man you even are playing this card. It's like you're turning into Special.

No one is claiming the Dems are innocent and never do anything wrong. The point is this is a widespread strategy of the GOP for going on 40 years. Stop with the whataboutisms and false equivalencies.

Democrats often seem unaware of what the party is doing. People here actually think Bernie wasn't screwed by the party. I don't feel bad pointing it out. You can feel free to ignore it when I do.

The differences between the GOP and the Dems are just theater. They are both terrible right now (and for a long time).

A common election system should not be a partisan issue, it's just that neither party ever brings it up because they don't want it. They like this mess of a system because the more mess there is the easier it is to play on the peoples fears and to play the blame game.

what do you want me to know, Kenny. be specific.

I've already expressed what I believe for voting. voter ID with a picture should be what is used. plenty of time before 2022 midterm elections for the government to make this free and get this ID to everyone that would be eligible to vote.

Democrats, GOP Rep. John Kavanagh of Arizona explained to CNN, want everyone to be able to vote and are “willing to risk fraud.” Republicans, especially since former President Donald Trump lost the election, are more concerned about voter fraud — which is statistically insignificant according to voting officials — so they’re willing to suppress votes, Kavanagh said.

“Not everybody wants to vote, and if somebody is uninterested in voting, that probably means that they’re totally uninformed on the issues,” Kavanagh told CNN. “Quantity is important, but we have to look at the quality of votes, as well.”

Legislators in 43 states have introduced voter suppression bills that, if enacted, would amount to the most far-reaching setbacks for voter participation in well over a century, all based upon the Big Lie that the 2020 election was infected by fraud.
Take it from Senator Lindsey Graham, who declared that he was going to investigate mail-in voting because "if we don't do something about voting by mail, we're going to lose the ability to elect a Republican in this country."
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/opini...on-effort-gop/

It would also limit “souls to the polls” voting to one Sunday during early voting, an extraordinarily blatant effort to reduce the electoral impact of the African Americans who vote in great numbers after church.

How do you seek unity with a party that is filled with insurrectionists? Only a clown like Biden is "excited" to be working with them. What a fool.

Fundamental election reform. 24x7x365 voting access, in person at the DMV, Tax office, library, post office, grocery store, and on the internet. Full personal audit access and transparency. Ranked choice voting.

And as long as we are dreaming, term limits and get the money out of elections and politics.

We already have this and an audit was conducted in Georgia and the system passed. Is anyone surprised that this isn't getting play on the right?
