This is not a both sides issue, not a chance. Once party doesnt like people voting, one does.

The bill, introduced by a Republican state senator, specifically would reduce the number of early voting days from 29 days to 20 days. It would also close polling places an hour earlier on Election Day (at 8 p.m. instead of 9 p.m.).

    This is in Iowa.

Does it also meet the voter suppression bingo card of targeting Souls to the Polls events on Sundays?

Georgia is first state to pass a voter suppression bill after this election.

    No more weekend voting.
    Less drop boxes
    ID for mail in ballots
    Less early voting days

So tell me who cheats to win again?

    And there you have it.

That Amy Comey Barrett asking the question I believe.

With all these new voter suppression laws trying to get passed, we will again see this play out in courts all over the country, but it will take a long time for them to either be deemed illegal or they will just be allowed to stay.

The 6-3 Supreme Court majority has allowed Republicans to say the quiet part out loud.

I guess it depends on how you define "cheating".

But on those 4 points for me it's: Bad, bad, okay, bad.

The only way I've heard of to have massively available voting is using the internet and the only way to use the internet for voting is using a unique ID for each voter so I think some form of voter ID is inevitable.

Whenever you log into certain government sites, you first have to type in a code their system kicks out to either your cell phone or email address on file. So, the only way you can log into that account is to also have access to the phone or email associated with it. That code is unique each time and expires in X minutes.

I don't know why something like that can't be set up for voting, the primary tweak being that it doesn't kick out a code until it verifies a ballot hasn't already been completed for that account. The vast majority of voters would at least have the option of never leaving home to get their vote in.
    gotta love 'referential' treatment
