Good for him, had a decent career. Just had to face the Manning/Brady/Big Ben era in his conference.

Kinda sucks he couldn't go one more. Colts and retiring QBs...
    Dak: 17,634 @ 66.0%, 7.7 per att, 106+24 TD, 40 INT+34 FMB, 97.3 Rate
    Wentz: 16,811 @ 62.7%, 6.7 per att, 113+8 TD, 50 INT+58 FMB, 89.2 Rate

If we're doing jokes that aren't our own:

"It's just time." Phillip Rivers retires from having sex after 17 kids.

Great career hindered by incompetent ownership. I am a bit surprised he retired because of how well he played in his final game. Thought there was a good shot he returns.

As for the Colts I think the most likely scenario is a stopgap like Winston, Fitz, Dalton and to continue grooming Jacob Eason as the future QB. Hoping like hell they somehow get Stafford. Every realistic option has some level of excitement to it except if they bring back Brissett.

It's crazy how much QB turnover we're seeing in the last two offseasons.

That elite 2004 QB draft is dwindling down to it's final guy and some of the guys who escaped father time are not so lucky anymore

The feeling is mutual! I think Stafford would be a great addition for the Colts. As difficult as it is to say but his time is up here. Time for us to move on.

What would be a reasonable offer?

I'd personally be willing to offer 2021 1st (21st overall) + 2021 3rd and next year's 2nd round pick as well. I'd be willing to give up a 1 next year if it had to be done, but I highly doubt it happens because Chris Ballard values draft picks. However, it's a good time to get desperate.

Damn, that's way more than I expect him to go for. I figured a single 1st or a 2nd+3rd will get it done.

If you listen to Lions fans they all think he's worth like a 3rd/4th rounder.

If you listen to non-Lions fans they all think he's worth at least a 1st rounder.

I'd give a 2nd to have him in Carolina.
