A name for your backpacket: Scott Kobos. LHP (reliever) the Cubs signed as a UDFA. So far in South Bend:

    17.2 IP.
    30K
    7 BB
    0.00 ERA

Before you get too excited, reports on the velocity are around 91-93 consistently and he's hit 95 a few times(this is up from his college days), he also has an awkward, funktastic delivery. But he's a lefty, so even at that, he's got potential for an MLB bullpen down the road if the secondary stuff is just that good (his changeup is seemingly his best pitch).

Their UDFAs the last few years between Bain, Kobos and Leeper have been very interesting. Getting anything out of any one of them would be huge.

Hernandez. Imagine being 17 years old, basically in grade 11, and being on the MLB top 100 prospects list lol. Incredible. Kid will hopefully be a beast and blow past all our prospects.

With his two HR today, Owen Caissie has now reached base safely in 13 of his 18 PA over the course of the Cubs first six Cactus League EXST games, including two homers, four doubles, four sngles, and three walks (he's hitting a robust 667/722/1.333 - 2.055 OPS).
    Thats decent

Liked him out of HS and liked him in the trade. A lot of the "hit tool concerns" are like many kids of his nature coming from cold climate and not great HS level; less a known issue and more an unknown. Hes never particularly shown any, but no one has any idea how he will perform against advanced pitching. You can squint to see some Cody Bellinger-type game in there. He's tall, powerful, can move way more than you'd expect. There's some who think he's got CF ability. Left handed.

Hes a lotto ticket, but had perhaps the best power grade in the last draft. I like holding that lotto ticket.

No full box scores that I'm aware of, as statistics being kept are not official in any way. That said, there are people out there reporting (AZ Phil is always one. And has been the typical "go to" for the old, Arizona Cubs rookie ball reports). You can find his reports at:
