Im all for as many guys getting opportunities to show what they can do this year. This is a lost season so why not bring some of the mid 20s guys from AAA up and give them a shot.

Am I wrong to not be impressed by Wicks thus far? Not calling him a bust by any means just seems like he's been a mixed bag thus far.

He has a K/9 over 10, a BB/9 in the mid 2's, and FIP and xFIPs in the mid 3's and a very high GB%. He's not been a sub 2.00 ERA dominant guy, but he's been really good, and had some bad luck in there two (2 starts ago the wind was really awful, turned a routine FB to CF into a 3 run double and another pop into a single).

I think you're being pessimistic. Wicks has been pretty good.

Feels like only the Cubs would let their top prospect battle through back discomfort for a month. I mean we have likely all faced back discomfort in our lives and it is definitely a fickle thing; can start out very mild and be a day by day type of feel, where you do all you can not to exacerbate it. Just reckless trying to play baseball through it.

Now that I've read this back issue may be lingering all the way back from ST, it no doubt has had an effect on his swing & reaction times. Maybe to the point it has contributed to his higher K rate, dunno just spitballing? [emoji2369][emoji2369]

I saw a mock draft that has us getting Termarr Johnson in the draft, which I'd be ecstatic about.

That's awesome. And he's doing it young for that league. Hope he can keep that line up.

The Arizona Complex League starts June 6. Not sure who will be on the Cubs roster as I can't find any info on the MILB site. 1908 or CP_414, do you have any insight?

Hereís the one that has us getting Johnson. That would be freaking awesome, but Iím not sure how accurate this mock is. I havenít seen Elijah Green this high in any mock before this one I donít think. Apparently Jacob Berry was slipping a little bit. His position concern is real.

Iím no expert, but assuming Johnson and Lee arenít there at 7, I think I like Jung the most out of him, Berry, and Holliday.

What level is Druw Jones' fielding? Anything close to his dad?
