If I were Houston I'd be looking to see if you could get Dak or Wilson for Watson.

Eh, I'd be fine with Dak. But Russ and Watson are easily better QBs.
    Fire Ryan Pace

You're right, but I think it's more that they're really great while Dak is very good. I think he could be great though.

Yeah Russ and Watson are on a whole other tier. I've said it before Dak isn't that much better than Carr and with the injury I'd probably actually prefer Carr. Daks only advantage is he's a FA.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports "no one believes" Deshaun Watson will be traded.
That's via sources "knee deep" in the situation. Rapsheet appears to be referring to teams that might be interested in acquiring the elite young quarterback. Rapoport also reports the Texans do not view either the start of free agency or the draft as "any sort of deadline." Rapsheet believes the drama will last for a "very, very long time." That is consistent with the established facts, as each side continues to dig in, both out in the open and via leaks.
more of the same.. HOU is stupid to drag this out.

    Bears re-signed RB Ryan Nall.
An exclusive rights free agent, Nall's choices were accept the Bears' offer or retire. A 2018 UDFA, Nall is a special teamer with 13 career touches, 11 of which came in 2020. He turned 25 in December.
    Why?

Its probably an non guarunteed minimum deal. We will need alot of guys like hin in FA to field a roster. And if we can find better he gets cut.

If its not and its more I would be upset.

Pace has 3 chances to get this QB situation right. Watson.... Wilson or Dak. Personally I think Dak is the most realistic. I still think him and dallas won't get a long term deal done and gives him the shot to walk next year.

Itís something about having 2 or fewer full league seasons under his belt which is 6 or more games on the regular season roster per year so if we extend him an offer he has to accept it or sit out but if he accepts it I think next offseason he is free to sign with whom he pleases.

Hypthoetically what would you be winning to trade for for Dak prescott if you knew you had to sit him a full year next year but you also knew if you did that you could get at minimum a 90% Dak prescott when he came back?

Iím probably lower on dak than most so I wouldnít want to give up much in that scenario. Especially with paying him 30-35 mil a year

The trade off is you get to keep all your picks and actually have the luxury of drafting a project QB.

Also what we pay Dak in that scenario will be a deal compared to what Watson/Mahomes/Allen will get in their next extensions.
