If Trump can become president with no political background then I don't understand why I need a resumé

I would be ok with that, but have to sign him long term.

Honestly at this point, if Lindor wanna be here long term we will sign him. So I don't care so much about that. If he doesn't wanna be here, nothing you can do. There's a lot of SS that will likely be available in FA market next year if he doesn't want to be here. If he does, he will and we will gladly give him a huge contract.

I think Springer is still a possibility after this.

Report: Mets, Cleveland Finalizing Trade To Send Francisco Lindor to New York
    MICHAEL SHAPIROUPDATED:JAN 7, 2021ORIGINAL:JAN 7, 2021

The Mets are finalizing a trade to acquire Cleveland shortstop Francisco Lindor, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

Cleveland is expected to receive young shortstops Andres Giménez and Ahmed Rosario as well as pitching prospect Josh Wolf and minor league outfielder Isaiah Greene, according to MLB.com's Anthony DiComo.

Starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco is also expected to go to New York in the deal, per DiComo.

Thursday's deal comes after months of speculation regarding a potential Lindor trade. Lindor has been the franchise's top player since entering the majors in 2015 but with his free agency looming in 2021, many believed Cleveland would trade Lindor before he hit the market.

Lindor is a four-time All-Star with three top-10 MVP finishes in his career. He posted a career-low .750 OPS last season but recorded 103 home runs and 329 runs scored from 2017-2019.

Acquiring Lindor is the second offseason splash for new Mets owner Steve Cohen. New York signed catcher James McCann to a four-year, $40 million deal in December. New York is still reportedly in the running to sign free-agent outfielder George Springer.

The Mets finished fourth in the NL East in 2020 at 26–34 and have missed the playoffs in each of the last four years.
I just read the SI article. They are finalizing it now.

I thought we were suppose to rebuild our farm system? 😂. Alvarez, Mauricio, Allan, Ginn, and PCA better be off limits

You guys really think we’d trade for Lindor and let him go via FA with big dawg Cohen at the helm?

Not a chance. This is a Mookie Betts to LA situation.

Mets getting close to Lindor trade??

It doesn’t matter how much money you have, it is FAR easier to extend your own guys than go out and sign FAs to play for you. Lindor is entering his prime and is a franchise player at a cornerstone position.

WOW! And Carrasco fills our need in the rotation.

This move is brilliant from a marketing standpoint as well. Lindor is one of the most recognizable players in the game and is usually in the top 20 for jersey sales.

He’s gonna sell a lot of tickets because of his name alone.

I like both prospects. Obviously Wolf doesn’t profile like Allan but Brodie gave away a lot of pitching prospects already. Greene could hurt down the road. I dont hate the trade at all but I’m just confused because they said they aren’t interested in trading Good prospects
