I suspect whatever is left of our cap number will be allocated to draft - but who knows.

If they spend maybe they get another edge?

If they make room for another FA signing, i wish itís Justin Houston on a one year deal. He was productive in a rather limited role for Indy last year.

Free-agent defensive lineman Danny Shelton is visiting the Giants today.

I don't think he's a bust. I think he just needs the right motivation to pick himself up & play harder.

Free agent Danny Shelton is a giant. 1 year deal. Good run stopper, solid depth piece

    De/DT Lawerence/Williams/Hill/Johnson/Shelton pretty solid.

I remember when he was drafted, I thought he was an absolute stud. Guess I was wrong

He still looks very, very good on that DL.

Now, that being said, Jaelan Phillips is a stud. He's a solid pass rusher and he's an elite athlete. If he's there on board and we somehow not run to the podium to make the pick, I will cry.

Heís not great but heís a solid player. Good at stopping the run which is what we need after losing Tomlinson. If we can ever get pass rusher from the edge man oh man

Purely from an on-the-field perspective I wouldnít mind him at 11. Heís the best edge in the draft IMO, really complete, not a lot of things he canít do and very athletic.

But those concussion scare the hell out of me. One more and he could / should be done.

I could see Getty trading back and targeting someone like that. Thereís a chance that a QB or playmaker is on the board for us that someone would want. I would have no issue with us taking waddle/smith if they are the best player available but not sure Getty feels the same way. Patriots might be looking to get in that range for QB 4 or 5 as well.

He's the best pure edge rusher (so not counting Rousseau because he's not entirely a pure EDGE prospect) and it's not exactly close, plus a freak of an athlete. Those typically don't last until 11, so yeah, if he's there, I'd run to the podium in the blink of an eye.

Didn't he retire from football due to too many concussions? That's a pick we're not in a position to risk at this point.

17 game schedule approved by owners.

Pre season down to 3 games.

So still 20 overall between pre and regular season.

Giants 17 game this year will be at Miami Dolphins.
