It's up to 14.5M. Really about 5.5M per year. It's not what I expected, but if we get our own Chubb/Hunt look out of it, I'll take it!

We needed a backup Rb that can take it the distance. Can catch as well. Like the signing. We can cut Richard hopefully

Good point. I think I was just mad because this signing ruined my dynasty league value on Jacobs

Remember Drake played in Miami (not a good running team) then went to Arizona and had 955 yds. I like the pick up and the backup in todays game is almost as important. Sound signing.

I mentioned before that most good teams have two starting caliber RBs. They take a lot hits and get injured more. For a position that gets so many touches per game, it only makes sense.

I will say, I would have preferred to draft a RB in rounds 3-5, but drake is solid.

I would still try to get Rhamondre Stevenson RB in the 5th round.

We need a tall receiver in the Red Zone....our receivers are Hobbits in comparison.

Thought about that. But if we look back at the last 2 years we have really struggled getting in the end zone and usually settle for FGs in the Red zone.

Iím just amazed that we arenít getting a good ot and fs. I have come to the conclusion that we are going to get them in the first two rounds in the draft.

I think these are the targets. And I will be cool with it.

Possibly slater(donít think he will be there when we pick. Heís not a surprise). Darrisaw or Cosmi.

And moehrig or Holland at fs.

Same here. We could have gotten someone like sermon to be a backup in the draft and not pay 5.5 a year for a backup.

I admit that Iím a bit of an apologist for this franchise and always try to spin things positive. But, Jacobís has missed games both of the last two years, and played injured and less effective late in seasons than early. I would say drake is less of a backup, and more of a committee (plan A), and decent starter (plan B if Jacobís is unavailable or ineffective). Itís a good strategy these days.
