GT#5 Most Righteous Knicks (2-2) at Toronto Raptors (0-3): A New Era or Weird Science

Welcome to the weird start of the 2020-21 NBA season. Please secure a bra to your head, dial up your internet connection, and look for the nuclear missle as Coach Thibs & Knicks coaching staff are working on a formula far more complex than creating Kelly LeBrock in your own bedroom.

Raise your hands if you thought the Raptors, Rockets, and Nuggets would stumble out of the gate while the Orlando Magic, Cleveland Cavs, Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, and the NEW YORK Knicks would ascend?!?!?!

As a sports fan, I'm a cynic because I can never be disappointed if I'm right. If I'm wrong, I'm the HAPPIEST man in New York.

The winless Toronto host the Knicks. It feels like a trap game. Despite losing Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka to free agency, I find it difficult to believe a team anchored by Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet, and Pascal Siakam struggle to milk a win even this early in the season.

Conversely, the young Knicks are starting to click after getting blown out by the Pacers and Sixers. The Knicks gave the Bucks a beating that Giannis won't soon forget, then soundly defeated Atlanta Hawks.

There are signs that Thibs may have the formula to turning the Knicks around. It starts and ends with Elfrid Payton passing to Julius Randle. Randle holds the most authority on the court. He can either score or feed his teammates. RJ Barrett, Bullock work out the sloppy seconds. Mitchell Robinson, Kevin Knox, Frank Ntilikina fight over table scraps.

Sadly Burks, Quixley, and Oldie Toppin/Tapas are out due to injuries. At the same time, opportunity knocks for Frank Ntilikina and Dennis Smith JR.

Let's hope for another win...Go Knicks!

I wonder what she looks like now a days.

Edit: Ohhhh, she hasn't aged well.

I hope Quickley and Burk back and can give the team a little shot. This definitely feels like it could be a let down game. Hope we come out swinging

This is the game where the Knicks size should make a huge impact. Too bad Toppin is still injured.

Very interested in Barrett tonight. The Raps donít have much rim protection but OG and Pacal are both good wing defenders. I think Barrett can push by OG. I hoping for a big game from him.
