GT#4 Most Holy Knicks (1-2) at Cleveland Cavaliers (3-0): Could we get a second win?

Great basketball is like good music. When it flows, it's beautiful. When it stutters it's like modern music.

Mark 43:15 is a 3 min recap of the Knicks' legacy over the last 20 years. Let me update Bill Simmons' recap with Knick Team President Leon Rose and World Wide Wes' plan was to get Chris Paul to come to the Knicks. Fail.

Speaking of rebuilds, the Cleveland Cavs are in their second or third year of their rebuild, they've raced out to a 3-0 start. Very impressive.

Anchored by the Cav's back court picks in 2019, Guard Darius Garland is averaging 8.3 apg and guard Colin Sexton is averaging 27 ppg. Cleveland Shooting guard Isaac Okoro will be out (again) with a foot sprain. Averaging 38 mins, 5.5 ppg is modest but this draft class is a patient journey.

No Kevin Love. Leon Rose will trade for him later...

    Meanwhile...

The Knicks live and die with the odd couple, Elfrid Payton & Julius Randle. RJ Barrett might get some table scraps. If Payton and Randle don't click, the Knicks are in dire straits. We'll find out tonight where this team is headed...

Well it's an interesting game but Bullock has to step up and take Burks place spreading the court or Drummond is going to feast tonight.

speaking of the guy supposed to be out of the league, leading the league in boards at 15, while scoring 20 points with 2 blocks. 4 assists and 3 steals, not bad early on.

I've always been an Andre Drummond fan but there has to be a reason why the Pistons didn't get many offers and basically gave him away to Cleveland, then Drummond had an opportunity to opt-out but no one really wanted him so he took the one year with the Cavs.

This led to Jackie MacMullen's Death of the Big Man special. It was fascinating but plays, the direction of basketball is going away from down in the paint and more away from the basketball. Look no further than Dwight Howard.

Yeah I mean teams are mostly content to have one big guy on the floor at a time and that too to mostly block shots and finish lobs, putbacks. If you anchor the offense around post up bigs you will slow the game down. If you do go that route you better be playing championship level defense.

Thibodeau on Reggie Bullock, starting again tonight. “His defense has been terrific. Just watching him move on the court, he’s not laboring like he did last year."

I love this team. It's apparent teams are struggling to keep up with our pace which 8s messing with their shots....but not ours

Is Elfrid Payton the worst player on this roster?
