This is the thinking that gets me through the day. I was listening to POD and hearing potential trades all the way down to NE... Stockpile. Stockpile. Stockpile. Build through the draft.

I just want to see a winning playoff game before I die. Thats all.
I get it. I've been rooting for this team for 40 years and have been let down countless times. The only time I have witness this team sniff the Super Bowl was the 91 season. I would rather trade down if we can.

So Sheldon Richardson and Maurice Hurst are both free agents now and the lions need defensive line help now. I think both of these guys could fill the roster spot instead of using a day 2 pick on someone allowing us to target different positions of needs instead.

Not saying both have to be signed but one of them should be brought in.

I would rather them bring in vet bodies anyway. The IDL for this class isn't great, use the picks on areas where the draft is deeper. Stack talent since 2021 is likely a lost year anyway.

I always thought kicking the tires meant bring them him for an inspection. I am saying one of these two guys need to be signed take your pick which one or both but our dline sucks this draft is not great for pass rushing dlinemen so bring these guys in and save a draft pick.

Well the draft is tomorrow night boys. This is probably the most interesting draft in years. We know that QBs are going 1, 2 and 3. SF at #3 is where the party gets started and which QB will they select. I wonder if we trade down with a QB needy team like the Patriots (#15) or Bears (#20) or do we stand pat and take BPA. Like most of us we hope someone comes a calling and we trade down and acquire more assets. I think for the first time in awhile this is an interesting draft for us.

I agree. The timeline to compete doesn't seem to be until 2023, based on the Goff trade, so their goal this year should be to accumulate talent. If that happens to be Sewell, Chase, Pitts, Surtain, Fields, whoever. Add talent to a talent devoid roster. The only position that shouldn't be touched is RB imo.

Yep. Just add talent tonight. Regardless of position. The only top talent guy I would be leary about taking is Parsons. The talent is there, no doubt, but I worry about the character issues and is the guy going to be out of the league in 3-5 years.

We’ll see what they do. Should be a fun night.

So this is from an article by Andrew Hammond of the Free Press. They searched 50 mock drafts and this is the results of who was selected.

    Penei Sewell: 12

    Micah Parsons: 9

    Jaylen Waddle: 9

    DeVonta Smith: 4

    Christian Darrisaw: 3

    Ja'Marr Chase: 3

    Patrick Surtain II: 2

    Rashawn Slater: 2

    Caleb Farley: 1

    Trey Lance: 1
