I called Christian Wood as MIP after watching his only preseason game. I feel pretty damn good about that prediction right about now. He legit might make the All-Star game this year. Dude is unbelievable.

The Rockets might have found two diamonds in the rough with Jae'Sean Tate and David Nwaba. All hustle and grit. It's like they have three PJ Tuckers right now. If those guys keep this up all season long and Harden buys in (he looks DAMN good in Silas' offense), this Rockets team could be ****ing scary.

Ugh. CJ shooting unconscious from the 3-pont line gave the Blazers the lead. He and Dame are a combined 9-16 from the 3-point line and many of these are getting contested. I like the Rockets odds, though. No way you can sustain that level of shooting for four full quarters.

I didn't know much about Christian Wood because he played for a bad Pistons team but he is fine signing by the Rockets. Is Wood a stretch 4 or is he more of a center?

What a game by Harden. But McCollum answered and Covington had a few great defensive plays to end regulation and OT.

Brutal ending. But remember that they did this without Wall, Cousins or Gordon; and that they've barely played together as a unit. This Rockets team could be damn good. CJ just had a career night, and Houston got almost no offensive help outside of Harden and Wood.

James Harden is still a top 5 player in the league, despite being "out of shape". Some of these teams in the East should strongly consider pursuing him if they want any chance vs the Nets.
