Bauer looking good but not a fan of his childish antics. Maybe I am old school but you can't be playing around when you are playing games. Mamba mentality. Kobe would have slapped him straight. But I guess if he keeps producing I will have to get used to his antics.

Yeah he is kind of annoying but he is also really good haha so if he helps us win, I think we will all put up with it.

The dude is entirely immature and egocentric. A few weeks ago he was bizarrely ranting about Fernando Tatis’ deal to make it seem like he got raked over the coals by his agency over a fairly industry standard 5% commission... and the only reasons I can think of are...

1) He was jealous that Tatis got such a huge deal with 4 years of TC left
2) He was jealous that the extension overshadowed his on contract
3) He’s trying to get some more exposure for his own agent whom he also seems to have a physical relationship with

Let’s be clear here... Tatis is a huge winner in this. He has guaranteed security for life, he got it 4 years before the team absolutely had to do it, and he chose to pay an agency 5% to make this happen. This was a smart move for the Padres, but they inherit all the risk. You want to criticize the deal from the perspective of ownership, there are some valid arguments, but Criticizing the deal because the agency got $17M only implies that Tatis is somehow the loser in this deal.

I don’t care to pay attention to these things, but it gets coverage and if I’m reading about it then you can bet people in the clubhouse are going to be dealing with more than petty **** like this. At some point his immaturity will become an issue

Ya that Nelson kid is legit. Can’t believe we have him also pitching the way he is. I think our starters are going to average only 100 innings per starter this year with so much depth.

Dude, it’s crazy. He’s a legit starter in this league when healthy and he looks healthy...

Let’s put this in context...

Gonsolin has looked like a beast as well...

And May is still a budding starter with ridiculous upside...

And then there’s Urias who might be better than all of them...

And we still have Price...

If 4 of 5 those guys were in a rotation headed by just one ace, that would be a ****ing impressive rotation.

...But we’ve got 3 aces (assuming Bauer can repeat something like 2018)...

People say embarrassment of riches often and it’s cliche but this Dodgers team is literally the epitome of that saying.

They need to trade Gonsolin and Ruiz for someone like Hader. Ruiz has no spot and will not have a spot anytime soon. Cartaya will replace Smith/Barnes in 3-4 years. I would trade May but only if he is included in a trade for a young star player.
