I don't believe players anymore when they say the Knicks.

Most of the time they just say it to get the media attention to gain more interest in them.

But it is possible, because for some reason he could of went to damn near any team he wanted and picked the pelicans.

I just don't have faith he really wants the Knicks. My bet is Boston, Nets, and Philly are his real destinations, and he used the Knicks to build interest the way every other player that we never get does.

Look at the 4 teams he listed, and than ask yourself, do Knicks belong in that list? heck no...

He wants to be close to home. He lives in Brooklyn. The article I read says he wants to be traded to the North East to be close to home.

This is not smart management imo. He’s 22 in a contract year, guards 3+ positions and his shot is improved, and you may be able to resign him for peanuts.

Not getting a real look at him this season when it literally costs us nothing to do so is irresponsible. Any smart franchise would want a real look before just tossing him away. But we’ll see what happens. This team has been mismanaged for 20+ years so I’m used to mistakes, big and small.

I disagree. This happens with first round draft picks all the time. At times, teams give up even sooner than the Knicks have. It stinks, but there's nothing unusual about this. The Knicks have been mismanaged, but I don't think this is an example of that.

If I was the Knicks front office I would've traded him by his 2nd year, Frank's useless.

The Rose move takes Quick off the ball for sure. We'll see if that was a good move for the Knicks long term or not. Gotta scratch your head with some of these moves though.

Need to keep 1 of rivers or payton as insurance to rose. I think Thibs really likes Payton and would prefer to keep him.

Why? He's not gonna get playing time on another team. He sucks. He should've requested to go to the G-league like DSJ did.

lol yea i saw that also, but I went to team salaries and JJ's agent may have told him those teams in reality don't have the players to return to match salaries, he's and expiring and not young so you aren't going to give great value back.

Knicks on the other being well under the cap have all the flexibility in the world to trade with them, so there is that.

Wonder now with Rose if the Knicks will still have interest? For JJ to play something has to give with Rivers, Payton, burks, Bullock and even RJ.
