Gillespie intrigues me because of his physicals but he is just so inexperienced.
I wanted to move on from Gasol last year tbh. He earned his money in our ship run with the defence. But it was clear he was on the decline before we even got him.

We’ll see. It could motivate him. He looked destroyed when he missed that 3 at the end.

    It was a good loss.

idk I think there's a difference between having a chip on your shoulder and thinking you're entitled to minutes but we'll see.

yeah I dont get this new bread of dads who want take to social media.. If you have an issue take it up with your sons agent and allow him to talk to front office. I dont like what these loud mouth dads do to the image of their sons. Like Lonzo and Lamello are good players and Lavar actually did them no favours by talking so much and if you notice it seems he got the memo because he finally shut up and let his boys play do the talking. Mr Flynn is going to have to learn that as well.

With an overbearing father like that, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Like I said it is a hot take.

They’ve always been a thing, but they now have a platform.

If my kid was in the league I’d be living vicariously through him too lol.

Its pretty rare bro. Of the 400+ players in the league, how many dads have you heard from this year? 3? Lavar, Bagley's dad, and now Flynn's dad...

Its one thing to live vicariously through your kid, its another to tarnish his image. Lavar was running that risk with Lonzo to the put where Lonzo actually created a song about it. Meaning he was well aware of how it was making him look. Also Lavar doesn't talk nearly as much anymore. I think he understand the damage that can be done. I would tell my pops to simmer down myself. Its my career, let me stand on my own feet.

There was also KJ McDaniel's mom from a couple years ago. Most parents wait until their kids are established like Draymond's mom.

Wasn’t it Demars mom starting **** with lebron too?

I agree though it’s more rare then my previous calculation would lead you to believe. I think it would be more common if these kids weren’t about to wear the family pants. Screwing your kids million dollar career can ruin your own retirement lol. These kids should generally have more backbone these days.

An underrated parent micro-management is Klay Thompson’s parents. Not sure if they’ve loosened things by now, but they used to cash his cheques and invest on his behalf, and he would get like a 30$/day allowance for food. It’s not terrible parenting, but I wouldn’t be down for that if I was him. Cant even get a good steak for $30.
Then again he could be thanking them one day.

Marshawn Lynch didn’t spend a single penny of his NFL salary until he was retired. He’s silently one of the smartest people in the industry.

I think you're thinking of Bosh's gf talking **** to Lebron courtside and then Lebron killing us.

I don't really think that is necessary anymore. The NBA got scared of players throwing all their money away so every rookie has to go through financial literacy classes and has access to financial managers now. I think that is one of the reasons why prospects seem to be more professional nowadays, there are more resources and training provided by the league to prepare them for a professional career.
