I think the Yankees are the frontrunners but if they stumble at all, my money is on the Mets.
Cohen doesn't seem to care about the money as much as the Yankees.

True.....At the moment. Once the bottom line reality sets in he may not be as big or free a spender.

The Mets are going to sign Springer. That's going to be their big FA splash. I would like LeMahieu but he can't play 3rd base and the Mets don't need another 1st or 2nd baseman. If anything, we are more your competition for Lindor.

Neither McCann or May would constitute a "big splash" in free agency.

I don't think he's a bust. I think he just needs the right motivation to pick himself up & play harder.

And your reply to my earlier post doesn’t have much to do with what I said . I never said anything about those signings being big splashes , just said they were good signings .

And that's how he operates. That's a constant for him.

DJ can actually play 3B and pretty well from what I've seen him do with the Yankees, he is an above fielder there (good arm and decent range).

And you know very well that with shifts being a 3rd baseman or 2nd baseman has become really a thing of the past. they can move all around the infield now.

Last I checked, they aren't in need of a 3rd basemen. They already have a pretty darn good one.
