Mean to tell me Suggs and Cade are the only worth while points in the draft ? Knicks need to use their highest first rounder on BPA. If it's not a PG so be it. They can use the second first rounder for pg unless there is another player clearly better at an another position. Boy is it critical IQ turns out to be above average as a PG. Then we could trade for a another above average point for the rotation. Who ever we start to wish for will be drafted one spot ahead of us.

Today’s tankathon result for New Years, Knicks pick is 9 and we draft pg Springer, Dallas pick is third and we draft center Evan Mobley and not select Suggs at 3 who was available. If this scenario happens we trade Mitch ? Boy if this happened would Knicks fan complain all day ?

I don't think Mitch is worth much, I don't think he ever was. Well see how he looks by mid season.

Mitch can do some things really well, but I don't see anything that is making anyone go crazy for him right now.

Tyrese is a great prospect no doubt. Tyrese plays within a system with other capable guards and shooters. Don’t underestimate that. If he was on the Knicks he may not look as good.

Yeah we all heard of Cade. We all heard of Suggs. Yet, we all know the NBA won’t let us draft that high, even if our record is terrible. Yet, maybe with improved play we will likely be picking in the high lottery or in the late teens with our pick. The Dallas pick likely will also be late lottery or in the teens as well or early 20’s. No matter we can still get talent. I don’t follow College basketball or FIBA, or the G league. Names like Springer, Duke, and Nix come up in draft mocks. Anyone have any knowledge about these youngsters ? Hey wouldn’t it be something if the Knicks draft Nix as their future pg ?

To answer your first question, I think assuming we're picking in the 7-20 range with both ours and the Mavs pick, then there's not going to be a real answer at the PG position absent some Quickley-like surprise. We shouldn't assume that that's going to happen. Things can change, but right now the only PGs that are being mocked within that range are Jaden Springer and Daishen Nix (who hasn't played a single game for the G-League team yet).

Point is, there may be a few PGs on the board, but we shouldn't assume they will be the answer.

In all likelihood, we will probably be picking from a lot of wings (SG/SF) and PFs just based on the mocks to date and the range we'll likely be picking in.

As for Ball, we can try to sign him outright in free agency, but NOP will have the right to match.
