Why is Scottie Barnes ranked that high? I really see nothing special about him tbh

I'm itching for something radical to happen as Knicks flexibility window is getting shorter by day.

ESPN also added projections (All Star, starter, bench, non-NBA)

Obi was raw based on the NBA skills he will need to be successful vs the skills that made him a beast in college, but the odds are still better you will get an NBA ready guy if you draft an older prospect. I don't really see the point in getting a few guys who are gonna rot on the bench as Thibs tries to improve upon last years success.
The cool thing about Duerte is if he is good and hit the ground running you have solid 6’6 shooter on a rookie deal for 4 years. You’d be are getting a lot of value on that contract bc of his maturity

Where would Duerte go if he was 21?

Not much higher. 21 is still kinda relatively old for high-level rookies. He’d probably be closer to the end of the lottery, but that may be where he ends up going now anyway.

If he was 19, we’re probably talking about a top 8-10 pick.

We’re acting like he set the college basketball world on fire, and the only reason he’s going lower is because of his age. In reality, he was a good, efficient player on a decent team in a not so great conference. He reminds me of Desmond Bane - not as a player, but for purposes of draft stock.

According to ESPN Cooper is out of the Knicks range and Duarte should be there at 21 but gone before 32.
    Also McBride there at 32.

It's not a mock, just how their personal rankings. I think it's safe to say the league seems to be higher on Duarte and Murphy, but lower on Cooper. I'm not seeing mocks have Cooper in the mid 20's - early 30's.

We'll see if that holds up. If so, maybe he can be a target at 32. I'd be shocked though.

I think right where he's about to go.

I don't think he has the athletic profile to go higher, he's not a lockdown defender and he's not a high level creator so late lottery is likely where he would end up regardless because of the shooting. It's getting to the point where shooting trumps almost everything. Because of that, I don't think teams are focused on his age.

He's 6'9", super versatile, athletic, and played a lot of PG for FSU. Shooting is obviously the big question, but the reason why I think he's jumped Kuminga in most rankings is because he can be valuable just with his ability to play make and defend even if the shot doesn't come around.
