Yeah sure and that's fine in the short term.

As I said, location, location, location.

No way they can lower and harden the cap. The players are guaranteed 50% of the contracted money, if they harden the cap it MUST go up because right now they are making money above the soft cap.

I too am for a hard cap and getting rid of the max contracts entirely. I would also be in favor of eliminating the draft and expanding the rosters to 20 players per team while also expanding the league.

Every team should have a g-league team and there should be no limitations on movement between the NBA team and the g-league team.

    Player development is key.

Bad owners will continue to have bad teams no matter what the rules are.

Adam Silver himself even said expansion is on the table when he was on The Jump either yesterday on Christmas or on Christmas Eve on that show with Rachel Nichols and the crew

A little late to the game and probably this was already said but Seattle would be a good place to bring back a franchise to. Lol ship Harden there and the franchise will make money from the start.

Seattle (West Coast city/team; go to the Western Conference) (joins the NBA as its 31st team)

Pittsburgh (East Coast city/team; go to the Eastern Conference) (joins the NBA as its 32nd team)

Pittsburgh right away would have a rivalry with the 76ers considering how close the 2 cities are to one another but also given the deep roots they share; it would be good for the league

Seattle back in the NBA...they would make the most money right away almost instantly and in the West they would be quite competitive

Virginia Beach would be more likely than Pittsburgh to be honest.

    Or other cities instead:

Las Vegas (West Coast city/team; Vegas instantly would be put in the West) (31)

Perfect team names for Las Vegas: Outlaws, Gamblers or Gladiators

Montreal (East Coast city/team; Canada gets a 2nd team; more than 1 NBA team in Canada to root for; instant rivalry with the Toronto Raptors...plus Montreal is starting to become a basketball city more than a hockey city. Montreal is just as big a population as Toronto but also Montreal more than has the means to support an NBA team over there.) (32)

Perfect team names for Montreal NBA team: Lynx, Huskies or Aces

Yes. When they decided on Charlotte it was a finalist too. Itís high on the NBAs list. Higher than a lot of cities fans float out there.

Or instead my 2 cities would be:

Seattle (West Coast city/team); Seattle's team would also be in the West

Las Vegas (West Coast city/team); Western Conference

Then I would move New Orleans Pelicans and the Minnesota Timberwolves into the Eastern Conference

Either way you would still have 16 teams in each Conference

What arena would they use or would they have to build one?

They can use the Hampton Roads Coliseum while a state of the art arena is built in downtown Norfolk (the land and infrastructure is actually in place, they are waiting to get an NBA/NHL team to build it)

Seems to have a limited seating capacity but with the pandemic wouldn't really matter, especially for short term purposes.
