They better not be waiting until they get a GM to be active in the free agent market otherwise their vow of being active is just empty noise. Come on, let's move on with this and get at least one of those top free agents.

    Free Agents?
This year's class will flow through Queens.

    GMs?
They are interviewing, and he said yesterday they interviewed 6.

    Presidents of Baseball Operations
They are looking for the right one, as he will be the heir when Sandy leaves in a few years.

    I wonder who.

Bobby Heck and Tommy Tanous are definitely two people.

Drew Smyly and Charlie Morton are the only two I can think of

No more Bay instead of Holliday.

No more learning on the job.
I was so angry when they signed Bay

So suddenly Chris Young and Michael Hill are the only options for Mets GM? WTF?! I thought it was supposed to be such a desirable job. Not a good start to the offseason so far when the Mets can't even find FO staff.

Former pitcher Chris Young has interviewed with the Mets for their GM vacancy.

Good grief. Does he have any FO experience?

I will say that while Chris Young doesn’t excite me, him not having experience is vastly different than BVW. Young has worked in MLB while BVW was an agent...what exactly is different I’m unsure of.

Still, Young is a smart guy and whoever the GM is, they’re going to be molded by Sandy...which is why I think a lot of candidates are declining an interview. Mets aren’t bringing in an established guy because the established guys will likely want to tear things down. That being said, I think this team is sorely lacking some outside perspective.

Though I’m putting money on Tommy Tanous being promoted to GM and Chris Young to be the assistant.

He's a Princeton Grad, That alone should get Brooklyn Dave's endorsement.

Last thing they need is somebody else that will learn on the job, might as well kept Brody.

I think it’s different than Brodie but would prefer a Pres under sandy to oversee young like they originally planned. I’m afraid it’s goin go to wind up being ricco as options are fading fast.
