Actually I think it was Kurt Warner that said dropping back keeps your footwork honest

Maybe that could help him for now since his footwork is brutal half the time

Like look how much more comfortable he looks even when he's in the shotgun dropping back. It's not a coincidence imo. All these quick reads and rpo's out of the shotgun don't work for Carson. They worked great with Foles bc he likes to get the ball out of his hands quickly and played in a similar offense in college. Doug needs to make some changes to the game plan.
