When healthy he is a really good 6th man

Believe me I hate Randle, and never wanted him in NY.

But the competition for minutes isn't exactly stellar. Hes also in contract year, and playing for thibs who is really good with big men.

If randle stops trying to be prime Carmelo and focuses on defense, rebounding, and only taking the easy shots, hes a got a shot to succeed. Especially in a contract year, playing for someone like thibs where he knows he has to be on his game.

Once again, the Knicks chose not to prioritize the most important need on this roster.

The Knicks failed to orchestrate the trade of Magic Johnson to the Knicks in the 90s, when Magic made it known to Checketts he was all-in on New York. The Knicks failed to get Chris Paul after they amnestied Chauncey Billups to compliment Melo.
We can go on and on...

The Knicks are going to face within the division:

    1. Kemba Walker and Jaylan Brown

    2. Fred VanVleet and Kyle Lowry

    3. Ben Simmons and Josh Richardson

    4. Kyrie Irving and Spencer Dinwiddie

Last season every team in the Atlantic Division made the playoffs EXCEPT the Knicks. Here we go again. Except the East might also get James Harden. Consider the East also has LaMelo Ball and Killian Hayes sprouting in a couple years.

It's been 47 yrs since the Knicks last championship and the drought will continue until they get a real backcourt.

Exactly, makes no sense. Same story every year just to end up with the 8th or 9th pick. Let the young players play, especially this year since we are clearly waiting for the next free agent class again.

Kenny Atkinson eschewing player development and his spacing-centered offense to play a one-year stop gap that canít shoot and doesnít play defense? I doubt it.

Not to mention Kennyís favorable comments about Frank in the past.

He would. Unless one of them is much better this year we will see another coach make the same decision. Just like Fiz and Miller did. and Jeff did with a different stop gag PG. I'm sensing a pattern.

Again Iím not agreeing. And I think Kenny is much more imaginative than Fizdale in crafting an offense, making it less of an issue for Frank to start at PG.
