I don't like this for the Hawks. That's way too much and they needed a better healthier player than Gallo at that age. He played almost the whole season so he'll probably miss half the next 2 seasons.

I love Gallo but don’t understand the fit with Atlanta at all. He’s basically a stretch 4 now, and Atlanta had John Collins who is much younger and they have to extend. Seems like a weird player/fit to allocate a good chunk of your $ on.

Bogdanovic makes a lot of sense for them though, love him next to Trae.

Agree. He doesn't fit their timeline, and he doesn't help them defensively. I thought Gallo was going to take less money and join at least a fringe contender. But I guess when someone offers you $20 million a season, you don't turn it down. Maybe you force a trade later on, but you don't turn that money down, especially when you're as injury prone as him.

That’s an overpay imho. Dude is injury prone and older. I get he’s a good locker room guy but that’s too stiff of a price to pay for someone who get injured often and plays no defense.
