They could film something backstage ahead of time. Like they show a video of the Usos attacking Owens and it distracts Sami in the match and he loses.

or I guess it could go something completely the other way and Reigns just gets himself dq'd. Sami really starts putting up a fight, it looks really believable Sami could win and Reigns hits a low blow in front of the ref or Heyman tosses in a belt or pulls the ref out or some **** like that.

I know it won't happen and would be a let down, but imagine Kevin Owens costing Sami the title in Montreal?

ehhh, I think the pop would be bigger if KO showed up and helped Sami win the title. and I definitely do not believe Sami is winning the title unless they are splitting up the belts and as of right now it just doesn't seem like they are going to.

What the Daniel Bryan situation did which is undeniable is it made money. You could be the Undisputed Champion if it made WWE boat loads of cash.

The WWE has the best of both worlds. They have a PPV people will want to see in between the RR and WM. That doesn't always happen as a lot of the time, the February PLE is just a filler show. I'm interested to see if Zayn's momentum carries over when he loses at the EC. If it does, HHH might have to reconsider it being just Cody vs Roman at WM.

The one major difference is people like Cody. He's a good draw and fans haven't turned on him like they did with Batista winning the Rumble in 2014.

I haven't made up my mind if Cody is truly a great draw or not for the WWE. If it becomes a three way dance, RR can remain the HotT and still not lose.

I don't think Cody is a great draw but he's a solid one. He has fans from his first tenure in WWE, also fans from AEW, etc. Enough where you could make him a champion for 8 months and keep him among the top of the card once he loses it.

I know its been talked about Roman vs Cody on Night one for the WWE title and Roman vs Sami on night 2 for the Universal title but i dont see that happening. I dont see a 3 way dance either but it would be interesting to see what they would do if Sami was in the title picture post Elimination Chamber.

another thing that helps is the legend of Dusty. I mean just listen to the pop from Monday night when Cody and Paul mentioned him.

No doubt. Cody did the best thing for his career leaving WWE a few years ago. He helped create competition, made himself a bigger star by being in other companies, then used his leverage to come back to WWE when they wanted to court AEW stars. His push will definitely bring other AEW stars to WWE at some point.

I think Cody will be a good WWE champ. He's definitely not holding both belts for long though.

There were talks of creating a new title for Cody in case of The Rock showing up and fighting Roman. It does not surprise me, giving that it was Cody he brought back the white strip belt for the IC during his first run in the WWE. I do wonder if/when he beat Roman, will the WWE allow him to redesign the championship belt? (Note: I really wish they get rid of the name "Universal Title" is so stupid.)

Been watching Raw and Smackdown most weeks for the last few months. The whole Dominic Mysterio being a badass angle needs to stop. He’s too darn cute to be a badass.

Actually excited to see an EC for once in years. Usually its so boring because the outcomes are beyond predictable and usually nothing big happens in the period between RR and WM. Sami's pop is going to be huge in Montreal. Shame he's not going to win but should still be a fun watch.
