I give AEW credit. They're trying to tell more stories, especially after Dynamite's ratings have stagnated and Rampage's ratings are in the tank. That's why I think its inevitable Punk comes back to AEW. The story is right there and he'll be a boost to their ratings and PPV sales (if he can stay healthy).

People can say what they want but story is always more important than technical wrestling. I dont give a **** how many 5 star matches Omega, Darby Allin, Pac, Daniel Garcia, etc put on. Its not going to have the same fan investment as a well executed storyline.

spot on. Its insanity really that we can sit here likes its 1980 and think we just need wrestling... that **** isnt going to fly and we have guys come out and state aew needs more storytelling by alot who have also said how great the brand is. Wrestling just isnt going to cut it with how much these programs are on and will continue to be on... eventually aew will add on to their shows. I hope punk and crew can actually be adults and realize if we run with this real life **** and put it into a story line we can have something on par with the pipe bomb story line

And this type of storytelling and not just wrestling is why wwe smacks the **** out of tna/wcw/aew etc etc etc...

I hadn’t watched wrestling for almost a decade. But now, as a fan who’s started watching it consistently over the last 6 or so months, this whole Bloodline story has been amazing. Story telling is more important than wrestling to me as well. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good match but if the build up needs to make me want to watch it.

I can’t really speak on AEW but I remember a time when WCW was a perfect storm of technical wrestling and story telling. Insanely good cruiserweight division and the NWO storyline before it got milked to death.

I expected greatness from roman at this point but holy **** he was fire... I wasnt expecting this level of greatness from rhodes. Jesus christ i am hyped for this match now

I think the Uso’s vs KO & Sami will be the most exciting match because it could go either way. KO & Sami could go on a run if they win or Sami could challenge Roman if they lose. If the Uso’s win then the legend continues. If they lose, they split and Jey goes after Roman.

I think Sami for the title was the one shot we saw on the last PPV.

There are so many lost story lines.

Lashley v Wyatt (wyatt sick?)
Flair v Ripley (Ripley more in the Dom line than a title)
Lesnar v Omos (kid of a throw away)
No build anymore to the Andre the Giant Battle Royal

I'm not saying I am going to pass, just saying I might flip to a couple of baseball games

I read on one of the dirt sheets Bray was dealing with some kind of illness and they were going to do something tonight on Raw to push forward the storyline, whether it was another QR code or some other kind of subliminal message.
